Oh, can't you see I miss you so bad, I go crazy You could have it all, the beauty, the power If you just come and step down from your ivory tower Anna Abreu - Ivory Tower Watch & listen on YouTube [link] I have been working on this for a whole year. A YEAR. Yes. I started in May 2007 and very very slowly worked on this, perfecting it, stroke by stroke... God it was so worth it, I'm puking rainbows and crying stars from sheer bliss! The original is only A6 - 10,5x15,5cm or 4.1/8" x 6.1/8" - it's a miniature painting! The character here is Carl Hemming, my childhood buddy's OC from a story we created together years ago. The theme "ivory tower" describes Hemming as a person. He's an illusionist who believes in his dreams and fantasies and refuses to face the reality. And uh, he loves sweets and esp. toffee so he's eating that. I had an artwork that inspired me to do this pose but I lost the link when I changed computers last fall. -gloom- It's here on dA so if you find something with a similar pose, tell me so I can credit the right person! Watercolors, cover colors, white acrylic, pencil, fineliner and Liquid Pearls paper&fabric decoration color. (I don't know what it should be called) Feedback would be extremely appreciated. I love the colors, love the painting work, I have this thing for strokes, since I'm unable to paint like that (I'm always making things smoother, smoother, smoother... =A=' I can't settle down if I don't blend it well, but I love strokes...), the flowers are also awesome... But I especially love the dots, the texture is amazing! It stands out so well yet it just makes the whole drawing more rich!
