Running scared by Aurasama Running scared by Aurasama
I told you I'd make something of the Azerbaijani ESC entry and by heavens I kept that promise. :dummy:

I wanted to make it all pretty and shiney since the light show for this song was pretty even though the overall performance was pretty lame. You could see miles away that their acting had no real feelings in it, so all those long loving gazes and touches were just really awkward to watch. Never mind if you haven't seen it, because you haven't missed anything.

I tried to capture the emotion this song so desperately lacked, and I think they looked rather cute together when he was touching her face at one point, gazing into her eyes. The one good moment of the performance, I wanted to see that on paper. -loves drawing random moments of cute-

And ohmygod this is the first time I've drawn a guy in more than a year isn't that amazing.

Media: fine watercolours, gold paint, masking fluid and white gel pen.
Size: 16x24 cm.

Based on 'Running Scared' by Ell/Nikki (Azerbaijan).

I love the woman's nose,
I think it's an awesome feat when you can give someone a larger than usual nose and yet keep them looking pretty. :D
The whole painting has a great vibrant feel to it.
Was the woman wearing that dress in the show? Or did you just riff it, because the swirly part at the hem is awesome. XD
(I hope hem is the right word. -_- *totally knows nothing about dresses*)

Haha, thanks! Personally, I like prominent noses. :D

She was wearing something similar to this, but the structure of the actual dress was more complex so I simplified it a lot for the sake of my own sanity (and for the lack of good screenshots). No idea what the hem would actually look like without the electric fans blowing from all sides, though. It was in motion all the time.

No problem, I totally agree,
the more prominent the better. XD

It's always best to choose sanity over accuracy. :D
